Default "Old Fashioned Luxury" Shaving Mug

Picked up this mug yesterday at a local antique shop. It seems to be in mint condition and even came with the box and a little instruction pamphlet, which was kinda cool even though I'll probably just throw them away. I bought it for the looks, but I actually really like its design too. It's got a nice wide opening and it's deep enough to hold the soap and contain the subsequent lather but not too deep so that I can't get my brush in there. BTW, it's gold-coated ceramic.

Loaded it up last night with some shredded MWF soap (thanks for the tip, Glen!) and used it. Nice!

Mitchell's Wool Fat. It's pretty highly regarded, so I decided to buy some and give it a shot. Doesn't seem to like hard water much, but I'm tinkering with it to see if I can get it to work.

That would a focal point in any den, way to go! I would try to keep the paperwork around, if you ever look to sell it wou broaden the appeal.

Hello, zappbrannigan: I have that style mug in the standard cream color. You're right, it's a sweet mug with ample room for the brush to work in. Also, it does hold large soaps. Good choice.
