    Default Weekend Yard Sale Finds

While scavanging for straight razors this weekend i came accross these 3 safety razors.
I understand the gold coloured Gillette to be about 1930 and the Ball end to be about 1940 but the Tschoepe razor i have no idea other than it looks alot like a "german made Gillette" as per some google search. Any info would be appreciated. Another thing I notice is that the blade doesn't centre and almost looks like a slant razor ... any thoughts guys?

    Respectfully

The handle look like a Hoffritz travel slant I just got. I figure it's from the '40s or '50s. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that head is from a different razor.

    Thanks JohnnyDingo
I noticed when i took it apart that the handle is 2 pc to the travel model theory sounds good to me and i also saw another razer with what appeared to be that same handle so its hard to say after all these years whether or not it did belong. Maybe somebody new to wet shaving would like to have it ... thanks again for chiming in.

A very similar thing happened to me recently. I bought a travel razor (for too much money) and it turned out to be a steel gillette tech handle (circa 1960's) with the head of a gilette old type. Chalk it up to a learning experience; I plan to use it to build my own frankenrazor.

you never know it might end up being your favorite!
I've got .... 7 now, 2 of which are a fat boy and a red tip and i like my old fat handle tech best so giver a whirl!
i also have a short aluminum handle and an extra cap so i guess i'll collect parts and do the same.
