Default Dumpster diving for shaving supplies?!

Okay, I never actually dove INTO a dumpster but I did find a perfect shelving unit that someone threw out with the trash. Like most guys, I have a shelf in the bathroom that was getting very full. While I was thinking about adding another shelf, I can across this CD/DVD storage unit next to the dumpster. It's a very heavy unit of reasonable quality and in perfect condition. So last night, I anchored it to the wall just outside of the bathroom for all the overflow shaving accessories I have...and yes, I understand it's a very small collection compared to some of you nutters. I think it turned out very nice...especially since it was free! What do you think:

Nice score, the way it frames your thermostat really makes the whole thing worth it.

Ha! It was rather comical last night. The placement of the unit (VERY heavy) was dictated by that thermostat. No choice! There is no way I could hold it up against the wall and mark where the holes would go without breaking the thermostat. Fortunately, I was able to rig up a temporary support (an old audio shelf with a few books on top) to hold the unit while I marked the holes and mounted the screws. That fact that I didn't destroy that thermostat is a minor miracle.

Beautiful! Reduce, reuse and recycle! Plus, I could imagine adding all sorts of stuff before you need another shelf...

    Cheers
