    Lightbulb New Display Case <$35

Last week I finished "re-purposing" an eBay shadow-box into a Straight Razor Display Box. $30 shipped for the unused, front-opening frame, ten small magnets I had on hand and $4 worth of "L" hooks... oh, and a hot glue stick! I didn't carefully measure out the placement of the hooks, but overall I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I was going to put it up in or near the shave den, but my wife, bless her heart, suggested I put it up in the living room or hallway! Them razers are purdy!
The only negative I can think of is I can't seem to find any more of this exact shadow-box. I'd like to have a few that match, then I could display a German box (as shown!), and a Sheffield box(as time goes on...), Eskilstuna box(I wish!) etc. I've included some pics of my German straights --not all of which are shave ready... yet.(Boker and DD are unused NOS.)

Thanks to all SRP (and B&B!) forum folks for the ideas and suggestions.

    Cheers!

Very nice; is there some type of rubber sleeve/tube on the "L" hooks ?

That's cool looking. When I first started I had the same sort of display. As my collection grew it became to little so I ended up with a glass display cabinet. Now that's full too so now my drawers are being taken hostage

Yes, I forgot to mention that part; I picked up when I got the "L" hooks two feet of the smallest clear tubing available at the hardware store--.25c a foot if I remember right. 1/8 ID and a bitch to slip on the hooks! If I were doing it again I might go for smaller hooks or even brads as the magnets underneath the cloth cover really hold each razor well.

My wife has been really great throughout the last few months of RAD; I think I'll keep your post away from her as to not press my luck! :-)

Nice case and beauty collection, definitely a case of quality over quantity
