Default 3 More Razors from the weekend, w/ an oddball

Well I can't stop buying razors even though I have so many projects already but I'm having fun so oh well haha. Recently I acquired these three razors: an H. Boker & CO (Good as Gold), Fox Cutlery CO , and the odd one a Gray and Dudley HDWE CO (Germany), the backside reads "Bob Dudley's Barbers Model" with the same inscription on the top side of the blade. The Bob Dudley is in excellent shape and will easily clean up to mint condition with just a little polishing and honing. I took a gamble on ebay since it didn't show a picture of the blade and snagged it for 19.95 with the original box. If anyone has heard of this company before information is appreciated. Thanks for looking here are some pictures. Name: IMG_20130415_142655_270.jpg

Never heard of the Bob Dudley, but the spine etching and nice scales with bolsters indicate it could be a good quality shaver. As you will find in razor collecting, there were a ton of hardware stores throughout the US that commissioned razors from international manufacturers.

The Boker Good as Gold is a model I have been wanting to add to my collection for a little while and the example you have there seems to be in really good condition.

Fox Brands are also decent razors, bonus that the original scales are still completely intact too!

Very cool finds. If it's unique go for it, you can't go wrong. I love the dog on the scales.

Nice finds indeed here is some information on your Gray and Dudley hardare company. John Gray came to nashville in 1855, he was employed at Gray,Fall and company. The Dudleys started in the hardware business in 1877 as Dudley Brothers and Lipscomb. In 1895 they consolidated into the Gray and Dudley company of Nashville, Tennesee. Selling ladies and mens furnishing, hardware, sporting goods, furniture, jewelry, cutlery and general merchandise.

Quite sucessfully as well! They were once knowed as "The big house in the heart of Dixie". Also found that the business stopped around 1980's.
