Thread: Club Suggestion

I read a thread in the 'hones' section today and it sparked an idea. The OP asked how one can identify hones and I agree with some feedback that says you just need to see them enough as you would do with razors.

I don't know if this has been suggested in the past but maybe starting Hone Clubs would be a success. Hones seem to be just as prevalent as razors here and it has great potential to help.

This is an interesting idea. I've enjoyed browsing the razor clubs to see the different razors that are out there. I think it'd be great to have a Swaty Club, Escher Club, Thuringian Club, etc. That might help some of us guys who are new to learn to distinguish the different razors. Right now the only think I know of that comes close is a thread on barber hones, but that's it. And they're SO different from one to the next.

I'd be in favor...but I know you guys have your hands full with the google search issue and what not, and I have no idea how much work it takes to set up a sub-forum like you did with the razors.

If you want to give it a go you could start a thread for different hones in the hones section for it and see if the guys take to it. If they do later a dev can work on a sub forum and move the threads to it.
