Default What's your most favourite winter season shaving soap

Mitchell's Wool Fat.......Yep I love it so much because the post shave feels FANTASTIC throughout the winter season it keep my skin moist so it doesn't dry out too soon, and when you finished shaving with MWF apply Thayers Witch Hazel 'Rose Petal' Aloe Vera Alcohol Free Toner after shaving this will give you extra double moisturising this will make your skin BLOOM!!! like magic

Trust me because I have seen the light

I'll know when winter comes back around, but for now it would be TOBS Ceaderwood.

I must admit that I have never understood the need for a different shaving cream / soap for different seasons. Is there a coherent reason that I'm missing?

Regardless of season, CF Lime is my favorite shaving cream/soap...but not by much. I also enjoy my XPEC, Tabac, Speick, and MWF. I try to rotate through them all equally just like my razors.

Well, I don't care for a full on menthol shave before going ice fishing, but it sure feels good on a hot summer day.

I was told by a friend who's into fragrances etc... the "winter perfumes", i.e. the essential oils used in them, and in some of our soaps, can be too "heavy" in the summer, due to the way they react with the skin in hot weather. Oud types, usually having strong woody base are a good example.
