From my experience it took me a little while to learn to generate a truly great lather from MWF but I never really had any real problem developing a lather. I will say that I generally get a better lather with my badger brush than with my synthetics and that my water is softened. I wonder if MWF is more sensitive to hard water issues than some other soaps.

A stiffer brush works well with MWF; I use a Vulfix Grosvenor, which is a mixed badger and boar bristle.

I will give my opinion but modern Williams for me and to me it seemís to be triple milled. I know thereís lots of wet shavers who doesnít like it, but it works very best for me. Itís also a tallow based soap.
