    Default Mitchells Wool Fat

Finally got some of this based on all the things I've read here and it's a splendid soap. Nice smell, nice lather, good shave, an instant favorite for me. And that is significant as I had sworn off cake type shaving creams.

It does. My shaving routine has become a very enjoyable and relaxing time of day....errrr, time of every other day.

I have 5-6 different shave soaps at the moment, some of them very expensive, and this one is my favorite.

I'll have to try a couple things to confirm.

    1. Shave with the Mitchells' with my old brush to confirm it's the soap.
    2. Shave with my other soaps and new brush to give them another shot

As a side note, I hear great things about the tweezerman. Mine was very old so I can't really comment on whether or not it's a good brush, but I could tell that it was not holding heat or water like a good brush should. How a new one would be I have no idea.

That's the soap I use. I love it with a boar brush.

    I know what you mean!

Every time I get tempted to buy some something else comes my way to deplete the funds...

Hope no one finds this offensive, just thought it was hilarious and, um, relevant.

MWF works really well as a Super Lather soap, too. My favorite soap for super lather so far.

    Default Michell's Wool Fat

    Gentlemen,

With all the praise about Michell's Wool Fat shave soap, I finally broke down and ordered a puck.

Not that I need another shave soap: I already see pucks of soap and tubs of cream doing Swan Lake in my dreams. Yet here I am, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Michell's Wood Fat.

Samuel Beckett, in his play "Waiting For Godot," said, "We are all born mad. Some remain so."

I say, while we're at it, maybe I should order another shave soap I haven't tried? Or cream.

    Regards,

    Obie
