Cool King of Shaves Shave Gel

Hi. I am a Barber in Califorina. I love shaving. but we have alot of laws out here about that. I have tried lots of Creams. but one day I have a client (from Londen). He informed me that the Barbers out there use King Shaves. because dosnt give razor bumps. and they don't need to use hot towels. I would like to hear what other Barbers are using and if you have used King Shaves Gel before. I do like it also, it's just they only sell it in small tubes. It would be nice if you could heat it up.
    Thank you.

I've not tried their gel. I tried the pre shave oil for a couple weeks and found it to be of no added value plus three drops of it (all anyone will need, they say) was enough for a quarter of my face. I pitched it and haven't looked back. I'd be interested to year what folks think of their gel as its commonly available and doesn't cost much.

I gave away two tubes of the stuff, that was given to me. I didn't like it personally. Those that got the tubes seemed happy enough though.

I've tried both this and other Gels, as the gels are clear, I do have trouble keeping a track of the bits I have already shaved.

This was my shave gel when i used gillette cartridge razors. Its about the best of the gel in a tube/can types out there, wouldn't use it for a straight though, as i expermineted with it on my first shave with a shavette before getting a brush

It's slick good glide (talking about with cartridge here), but with a straight it just got stripped away. definitely not as much razor burn as normal goo in a can. It doesn't lather up much, rather what it does is stay gel like but spreads over your face well. Has more in common with a shave oil than a gel.

I also just got a small bottle of their shave oil and it doesn't seem any good to me. I keep using it because I hate throwing stuff away but I probably should just toss it.

    Cool

First of all I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions. Let me say that I do not work for King Shave but I have used their oil and their shaving gel and even their aftershave ointment. I can say that I love the product. It does what it says and does it very well. Like the oil, I use that on the face before I shave, apply a hot towel. THen I apply the shaving gel and then apply another hot towel. As I am shaving it comes off smoothly and if it rarely does dry up and can apply a little bit of water and continue with my shave. After I am done shaving I take a lukewarm towel to clean off my client's face, apply the aftershave ointment/massage the face and then after that I apply a cold towel. My clients love it! I am saying all of this not to sell the product but I would like to find out how other barbers shave and their technique and I would love to find a poduct line that I could invest into that would give me better results than King Shave. Once again, what I don't like about King Shave is that all of their products are sold in small quantities/containers and anyone can buy them like at Target stores. I would like it if my clients wanted to purchase the clients they would have to buy them directly from me. But through my experience I have not found a poduct line that compares to King Shave.
    Thank you for your insight.
