Thread: Combining shave soaps

I understand that tallow soaps need to be ground if they are to fit into a new container, but glycerin soaps can be melted. Could the melted soap be poured over the grated soap and mixed up to get an effective compromise between your favorite tallow and glycerin soaps? Might the product exceed the sum of the parts?

Inquiring minds want to know. Go for it!

I had this idea as a portable uberlather. I was adding glycerine to conk, then realized it is glycerine based, and ordered some tallow soaps. I'm wondering if it might not bring out the best of both
