Thread: Cover Soaps?

So, I have several soaps coming from MasterShake and I need to know how to store them. Currently I have Provence Sante and MWF in stainless tubs with lids and they're doing fine. I also have some grated soap in an open bowl that hasn't seemed to degrade any. Do I need to store my soaps in airtight containers or can I keep the pucks in open ceramic ramikins? I'm just worried with the longer rotation times between several soaps that they will dry out and/or lose their scents more quickly. Ideas/opinions? I guess pm-ing MS would be the easy way to find out, but I'm curious what other people do. Thanks all!

I use glass sugar bowls w/lid. They're very common, and can be found at Walmart among other places. Just make sure that both soap and container are dry before putting on the lid for storage. Better to take the risk of having a dried up soap (which will still lather like a champ BTW) than a mushy mouldy one.

I rotate soaps so all my containers have covers on them. I have found left uncovered they accumulate a variety of unwanted additions and they will lose scent over time. I have a variety of covered bowls I use. Some were sold as covered shave pots and some just looked the part.

Yes, it's important you let the soap dry before putting the cover on.

All of these are good idea's. I actually have some in sugar bowls and a nice collection of large diameter coffee mugs too. The possibilities are endless as long as you look around at your neighborhood stores and find stuff that you would like to add to your collection.
