Thread: The end of Domenico Caraceni 1913

Well, I'm sorry to report that Domenico Caraceni 1913 Shave Cream is no more. I have a friend at Forrester in Milano Italy (makers of Xpec and DC) that tells me they ended production. I'll really miss this one.

I read somewhere that DC was being reformulated...another one to bite the dust.No good.

Xpec has been reforumlated by Forrester, and the folks that created fragrances for Czeck and Speake and Penhaligons. It should be available soon...

My friend didn't mention DC being reformulated, but I'm sure they would have mentioned...

I got the same information a few months back by the director of the company.

That is sad news indeed.
I was lucky enough to get a hold of a few tubs before they vanished, but now I really need to try to get as much out of each tub as I possibly can

I guess it's time go into ration mode with the tub so generously bequeathed to me...

guess i'll have to buy some c&s soap instead of this

This truly sucks, folks. Fortunately, DC came in a large 8oz tub, so if you have a decent sized rotation it should last for a few years at least. (How's that for looking on the bright side? )
