Thread: WoW: UberLather

Today I made big boy lather! Following Jockey's instructions I used the soap bowel, and double walled scuttle that arrived from SRD yesterday.

It was magnificent! Incredibly rich, and stayed warm through two passes and one more application (after I was done shaving I lathered once more just because it felt so good).

Brush loaded with Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood soap.
Dime sized splat of Geo. F. Trumper's Sandalwood cream.
A puddle of glycerin about the same size as the Trumpers'.

If you haven't tried it yet... well you know the rest.

And how awesome is that SRD scuttle !!! First pass or 3rd its a hot rich lather.

At my house Uber is nearly a necessity because of hard water. It is great stuff.
I rarely use more than 5 drops of glycerin though.

+1 on both points,, Chip-a-Tooth water up here too caused me to experiment with the Über long ago, but I also rarely go more then 5 drops...

Nothing wrong with Uber'ing. I do it here from time to time. Like the "Lanolin Overload" MWF + Musgo Real + 5 drops Glycerin. It's loads of rich lather, and fun to do.
Last one was EJ Sandalwood Cream w/ SRD Sandalwood Soap + Glycerin. I know soap purists believe Uber'ing is unnecessary. I disagree, It's fun to experiment, and that's what this hobby is all about. Just enjoying yourself, and turning something mudane into something fun.
