Thread: How do you decide?

So for you guys who have more soaps and creams than you can use in a lifetime and who continue to more cuz ya just has to, how do you decide which one to use each day? Luck of the draw? Migrate to your favorites? What makes you pick what?

I tend to pick whatever hasn't seen use in a while.
It's always a treat to smell a scent that hasn't been put to use in a month or two.
Having a rotation of soaps/creams and accompanying products makes the ritual even more enjoyable to me.

I just stare at it all untill one calls out to me, or sometimes I see one refered to in a thread, and will use it the next shave to refamiliarize myself with it, to see if I still feel the same about it. But I only have 68 creams and soaps so it isn't that hard, in a couple more years I may have to figure out a better system, but for now it seems to work.

It used to be a relatively random choice. Now I have so many half-empty or half-used bits and pieces that I have become much more systematic. I am slowly but surely using one at a time until I am done. Problem is I just got a new one the other day and it is staring at me wanting to be used...

I have an informal rotation in that there is no set schedule but they all tend to get used; if I know that one hasn't been up to bat for awhile I will use it. Though somedays a specific soap/cream begs to be used no matter what Nothing set in stone in my shave den...

It's pretty much random for me, sometimes I will stand there and just stare blankly at my soaps until one pops out at me.

I haven't got as many as some guys, but I'll either pick out a scent I feel like at the moment or go with MWF in a mug cause it's so easy to use.

right now sitting at about 16 soaps and 18 creams. Unlike my RAD where I keep a rotation going the soaps and creams tend to be a whatever strikes me at the moment. sometimes I will see something on SOTD to remind me and then I will pull it out for use but it all depends on the day.
And Ryan I still haven't tried the D. Caraceni you sent for me to try as I'm in the middle of a move but as soon as the shave cave is unpacked it's on. I have smelled it about 5 times and Love it!

I have my daily driver/s, and then on the weekends when I have a bit more time, I bust out the other ones as a treat.
