I just received some soap from Ray's of Colorado from E'bay. I like this better then Wool fat or Tabac. so I like soaps better, although if I had to use a cream I do like the Fusion gel.

I prefer more soap, as a cream, but this is only a subjective thing, and I can't tell the reason...

Since when has P&G Fusion Gel been considered a 'cream'.

Shaving cream, to me, is KMF or Proraso...

Bloohoundman - Good to see you! 'Hope all is well after the venison injection.

The guy you may want to search for/listen to is Obie. He describes himself as having the unfortunate attributes of very heavy beard and sensitive skin. That has put him in search of excellent suds. I'm in the wrong tax bracket to try Martin de Candre, but his recommendation of Provence Sante, I've yet to equal in a single product. Like Obie, I'm not a fan of DIY suds, but will add glycerine to the ones that dry quickly. One DIY recipe that does deliver is:
    New Uberlather recipe !!!

I'd say it outdoes Provence Sante, but with some assembly required. The cream component is a strong rescue or help to any underperforming soap. By itself, the soap is okay. 'Needs glycerine to keep the moisture retention. In combination w/ 4-5 drops of glycerine, you won't believe your eyes.

I haven't really got into soaps yet, but I've tried a few creams (not as many as most people here have, though). I think my favourite cream is Musgo Real; it really 'explodes' with water and smells really nice (a 'powdery' smell). I also like La Toja (though I've only used the 'sensitive' one and it has very little scent), Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar and Body Shop Macca Root. Those would have to be my favourites so far; though out of these I reach for Musgo Real and La Toja most often...

I like quite a few soaps and creams but my favorite of each would be, for soap EU Palmolive stick, and for cream Maca Root from the Body Shop.

I have a few soaps/creams and I like most of them, I was reaching for Tabac more and more until I got my first order of Mitchell's Wool Fat, now that seems to be my go-to soap.

For Creams, I seem to like Truefitt and Hill grafton... but I am waiting for some Castle Forbes Samplers....have high hopes there
