    Default Allergic reaction

I think I am allergic to glycerin based shave soaps. I've been using mama-bears dragonblood soap for 2 weeks and my neck looks like moon base Alpha!!! Ingrown hairs and pimples . It's gross! I used Caswell Massey for 20 years and nothing .

I agree to check to make sure that the EO isn't causing the problem. Another thing to check is technique. Glycerine based soaps are more slick than any other type of soap but they lack in the cushion department. Make sure you are using absolutely no pressure. Just let the blade glide along the lather.

+1, it could be the fragrance not the soap

I find the Mama Bears causes me irritation, I belive I am sensitive to the fragrances (which are quite strong).

To be fair, Sue does provide a disclaimer on her site that Dragon's Blood can cause irritation for some. It's a fairly well known fact for those who have frequented wetshaving forums for a few years. By all means if it's causing you misery stop using it and find something else. I'm sure you could sell it instantly on the classifeds to recoup your loss.

Yeah I know and it's not a big loss of funds. I will gift it rather than sell it. I think going back to a tallow based soap like MWF might be what the doctor ordered

I feel your pain. I have 2 MB's soaps Northwoods and Masonic lodge. I love both scents, but I can not use the Masonic lodge for the life of me. Feels like I have painted lava on my face. really sucks....
That being said I do love her Northwoods and would try more of her soaps!
