    Default Jagger LeGrelot

For Grelot fans, there is a great opportunity over at Edwin Jagger's site. I picked up a NOS 6/8 full hollow blade with imitation ivory scales for less than $100 delivered. The blade front is highly polished with a Jagger imprint. As with all Grelots it takes a keen edge and yields a close shave.

I got one, too, but I haven't honed and shaved with mine yet. I agree it's a good value for a hefty, French 6/8; with shipping, my credit card was charged $90. Except for the Edwin Jagger logo, it is the same as the "3/4 to Full Hollow Grind" razor Martin is selling for 115 Euros here.

How is the fit and finish? Unless I'm mistaken, these were put together by TI.

My razor is well put together. The blade is centered, the pins are tight, the scales are well fitted and matched perfectly, and the blade finish is uniform. Therer are upper and lower file jimps. As I mentioned, it came with a TI leather pouch marked Jagger.

I think this is a pretty good deal, considering it would cost about 50% more other sellers, and with current TI pricing. Throw in a refill puck of Harris soap for $13.

I'm not getting this...? The site says the razor is $98.80 BEFORE shipping and shipping looks like it'll be at least $6 to the US. How did you only get charged $90 shipped?

It is likely due to the fluctuating exchange rate. The website indicates that exchange rates are updated regularly to reflect daily currency rates. I would think the price in British Pounds did not change.

Can someone post a photo of the razor open, so we can see the blade?
