Disclaimer: I'm a noob, and at this point have shaved with only 22 different razors. Only one of which could be considered "high end": the Hess 44, which is stainless.

I got mine NOS off of ebay. For a newb like me, it was kind of a pain to hone, but I'm sure it would be cake for anyone with a bit of experience.

Once you have an edge on it, you'll be in for a shaving treat. Lyn and Glen had both said the Hess 44 was one of their favorites, and I totally see why. It is far and away the best shaving razor I have used to date.

If you get a chance to pick one of these up, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
