    Default Stropping a stainless blade

    Good evening!

I just got my first stainless razor, a Livi with RWL 34 steel. Is there any difference between stropping stainless vs carbon or can I just treat it the same as my other blades?

I can't wait to shave with it!

No difference just strop as you would any other blade.

You probably should strop it a little more carefully because it's a Livi, not because it's stainless.

I have almost the exact same razor. You're in for a real treat.

    Just strop as usual.

There is no difference. Shaver is very easy to use because of its shape.

If you go to the razor club- Mastro Livi the razorGuy has a great write up in response to my question. I own 3 Livi's and got the RW34 stainless on Ebay. I just could not get a really sharp edge using my Shapton stones. I sent it out to get honed from Doc226 and the razor came back really sharp. I noticed it still wasn't as smooth as I wanted. I took out my Naniwa 12k stone and did 10 no pressure x strokes then 10 laps on my 20k Suehiro Gokumyo, 15 laps on my horsehide modular strop and wow was it smooth. I only strop in 7-10 times. Really holds an edge and hasn't changed in 2 months of use. Once it is sharpened correctly it stays sharp and smooth.
