    Default Looking for a Strop

I am looking for a gently used beginner strop preferably with a linen side. I ruined mt previous strop learning how to strop. Please let know if you have one you no longer need. I am eager to get my razor back from honing so I can get started.

I just sold mine, but if you go to Ruprazor i think he has nice starter strops guys like.

Also it depends what you want to spend. Tony Millers place is closed for a few weeks but he has nice strops and offers a cheap 7 dollar practice strop to go along with it.

Straightrazordesigns.com also has some great strops

    Question

How much are you willing to invest?

    Bokaba,

I can second this recommendation. I have a Filly ($20 at Ruprazor.com). It does the job phenomenally for the price and I never have problems with any of my razors. This was my beginner strop and I put some dings in it but I sanded them out (and in doing so got myself a little more drag).

The Filly has minimal drag -- it's a very smooth strop with easy glide.

    Good luck!

Does anyone know what shipping to canada is like for ruprazor? I was going to just order something from Tony but he's got other things going on right now unfortunatly.

You should go to his site and ask him -- I believe he provides some contact info there. He is quite responsive.

I also think you'll find that Ken is a class act and his products are top notch. I have two of his strops.

    Enjoy!

+1 on the top notch, I purchased my first razor from him, it does not dissappoint. I also had him sharpen up 2 ebay razor, they are still sharp.
