Thread: Just a quick one

This Dovo Hand-Held Streich Riemen Paddle-Style Russian Leather Strop was gifted to me. All I have ever used was a hanging strop nothing special. Side leather and side of linen. The above paddle has wood on one side with no leather or linen or any other material. Whats the use of the wood side?

I wouldn't use the wood side on this particular model. It has no real use. If it is very pourous you might consider adding abrasives, but I wouldn't bother trying.
