    Default Advice on buying strop

I need to buy a strop. Was wondering if this one is any good? Illinois #835 Hanging Razor Strop I know everyone says from srd, but I dont really want to drop $100 on a strop, and I dont like the fact that the handles arent sewn on. What should I look for in a strop? If this isnt a good strop, can you point me to one that is? Thanks.

And I have an Illinois 206 -- it works fine. I can't blame Illinois for all the nicks in it.<g>

People have favorite strops, and favorite styles and types of leather. But any strop made of good leather will work -- the Illinois strops are fine.
