Thread: NOS Scotch Lassie!

Ever since I used Lynn's last summer I've been searching for a Scotch Lassie strop. I'm sure anyone who has seen/used one will vouch for the fact that they are just plain awesome. Anyhow, I've been keeping my eyes on ebay for quite a while, but the only one I'd seen to date was covered in paint and, generally speaking, pretty disgusting. My hope was to find one in decent used condition-- never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that a NOS Scotch Lassie would show up within my meager budget!

Dylan gave me a call a couple nights ago (my computer has been out of commission for almost two months now [which should explain my absence from SRP {a forum which I love only slightly less than parenths}]) to let me know that this beauty was up on the 'Bay and I might want to borrow a computer to check it out. Having just purchased a home and being on a tight budget I resisted... for all of about three-and-a-half nanoseconds.


There will be lots of pics of the unboxing. My Lassie comes in her original wax paper wrapping... expect strip photos!

3 1/2 nano seconds..... sounds like an eternity. I bet it was a tough time. Good to have you back.

Sounds like a honey of a strop. Never knew they existed but I have a couple of other Certifyds and they are great strops. Enjoy it Ben and hope you get a PC sooner than later.

Oooh la la ! I can't wait ! I've never seen or heard of a Scotch Lassie strop , but it sounds sexy .
