Thread: New to SE and bought a nice new strop but don't have a clue what to do with it!

    Default New to SE and bought a nice new strop but don't have a clue what to do with it!

    Hi there

    Been shaving for a couple of weeks with a Feather DX but decided I wanted to use a 'proper' razor. In addition to a razor I bought a 3" wide largo leather strop (that was before I read the posts about getting a cheap one at first! And yes I have already nicked it!). Anyway the one I have has a leather strap and a webbing strap. I have no idea what to do with the webbing side and I'm not even sure I'm using the right side of the leather!

    A bit of a pointer in the right direction would be most appreciated
