    Default Old Illinois Strop

I picked up an old Illinois strop at an antique store. It has two leather strops separated by what is labeled "finish linen". One of the
strops appears to have hide on both sides. The other is smooth on the front side and heavily dimpled on the back side.

It is labeled as a Illinois #9285. Can any one tell me anything about this strop?

By the way, it cleaned up beautifully.

    Thanks,

    Donald

Yes need some pics Illinois changed a great deal in their quality and numbering system. Some of the older vintage ones are classic and they re-used some numbers. If it is a three way this is probably one of their old vintage strops which if in good shape are excellent.
