In general, I do not like the razors produced by modern American razor grinders as I do not like the quarter hollow grinds most of them provide. I much prefer full hollow, or even extra hollow grinds.

A friend loaned me one of Brian's semi-custom razors with Brian's belly (bellied) grind to see if I liked the razor. It "sings" much like a full hollow grind. I now have two of Brian's razors in my collection, a 6/8" square point in red G10 and a 7/8" Spanish point in white acrylic. They do not have the fancy decorations of many custom razors, but they shave beautifully and the price is reasonable for a quality razor.

I,ll ad to your RAD. I have mostly custom razors, Brian's razors are traditional instead of outrageous, which is what I like, and his grinding is top notch, hard to find another custom guy who is as good as Brian in that department. Add that to his price range in he production line, you got a real winner, I use mine all the time. Tc

I believe it's a stabilized burl but Brian may chime in and correct me but pretty sure that's what it is, I had looked and several of his scale material and I like different and as soon as I saw it i said YES !! ( It's not what he calls a custom razor it's a semi custom as I changed a few things.
