    Thanks for the well wishes!

Just wanted to throw this out there since there has been some interest in the forums and in emails--

Would you guys be interested in my offering smaller sizes of the P160 soap for sale? A 1000g brick is okay if you're familiar with the stuff but if you haven't used it before I can understand wanting to test the waters. I'm thinking about offering bars aboout the same weight as the Erasmic shaving soap I sell for a few bucks. Let me know what you think.

Keep checking the website for announcements throughout the week on the News page and elsewhere.

The big news is I will probably be dropping the USPS as a courier of choice as they are costing me too much time and money. If I do continue to keep them it will have to be as a "ship at your own risk" courier and if the order is insured you will have to wait for them to pay off on the claim before I can replace it. Their incompetence seems to know no bounds and I just can't sustain the losses and simple aggravation that they are causing and continue to operate this business. I apologise and I'm sure this will cost me a few customers but when you factor in the inconvenience and expense the USPS have occasioned I should still come out ahead in the long run. Keep watching the news page for a final announcement on this as I will decide over the weekend.

Personally I prefer buying from places that don't ship USPS. I get a tracking number and am nowhere near as worried about stuff getting lost as I would be with USPS.

Edit: PS: I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok following that ordeal!

Appreciate the support and the well wishes Jerad!

I have officially dropped the USPS as a courier of choice on my website. You can check the website as to the reasons why but basically it comes down to the fact that their incompetence, their lack of acccountability, their apathy when dealing with the problems they cause, their theft from some parcels, and their heedless damage of others has finally begun to negatively impact the conduct of my business to such an extent that I can no longer offer them as a viable delivery option.

The good news is that with UPS and FedEx there is accountability. Every parcel comes with a minimum of $100.00 coverage (FedEx anyway), and unlike the USPS, when they damage something it will not turn into a huge argument with them trying to renege on honouring the claim at every twist and turn. FedEx is an especially good deal and once you get above a certain weight they are not only competitive with USPS but many times they are cheaper.

For those of you that are in the habit of making several small orders my advice would be to wait and place one or two larger orders and come out ahead on the postage and get your parcel in a timely fashion as opposed to waiting until it takes the USPS's fancy to get it to your doorstep...and then you can only guess as to what shape it will be in.

For my foreign customers there will likely be duties and taxes but I will work with you as much as it is in my power to lessen their impact. To that end I welcome your input as to the best way to go about doing it.

Henceforth, only the decants will continue to ship First Class and First Class International. That is because they are easily replaced when they are damaged or misdirected. The same cannot be said for an entire bottle of Floid.

If you have any questions or comments email me at help@superlather.com and I'll get back to you. My apologies for the inconvenience but I honestly have no choice.

****USPS BACK ON THE LIST OF COURIERS!!***

    Hey everyone!

Believe it or not a representative of the USPS contacted me by telephone the other day expressing concern about the "many issues" I've had with their service over the last few weeks and wanting to know what could be done. I nearly passed out!

Currently I am discussing the matter with them. While I'm still leery, and justifiably so, I am holding out hope that I may be able to restore the USPS to favour on my website.

Watch this space for an update in the next day or so.

I just updated the website with the latest additions and whatnot. I don't think I overlooked anything!

The big news is that I now have two of the Austrian Pitralons in stock. They are both fantastic. I've used them both this past week along with the La Toja Sensitive and I'm really pleased with these additions. If these sell well I may look into adding the other two Austrian Pitralons if my supplier can get them.

Go check it out and let me know what you think.

I have had a few people ask if I can get the 400 ml bottle of Proraso splash. I have only one supplier for the Proraso products and he is continuing to check his sources but so far the answer is no. If that changes I will let you know.

I have had some people inquire about future availability of the new Proraso with Aloe Vera. The answer is no because I feel it is available at a number of different outlets already. For the same reason I do not plan to stock the smaller tubes of Proraso green.

I will have more of the Proraso Pre/Post on the way this week. I am given to understand that there may be a small price increase on both the Pre/Post and the shaving cream when they get here but I will do my best to minimise it.

The Special Order products are low stock at the moment. I have very few of the spritzers left and a few P160 shaving briquettes and bricks left. Once these are gone they will become pay in advance special order items.

The spritzers are a bit of a novelty item appealling only to the occasional customer. The P160 while it has generated some interest has not sold as well as I had hoped it would. I attribute a lot of this to a lack of familiarity with the brand. The fact that it comes in a 1000g brick is a bit intimidating too. For my part I do like it and most of the field testers that I sent a briquette to (randomly selected from the Superlather customer lists) liked it as well although to be perfectly honest there was one who wasn't too taken with it although he was fond of the scent. It does smell good almost good enough to eat in fact. The main reason that it will become a special order pay in advance item is the weight of the bricks eats me alive on the shipping and I can't take the risk of importing without having a buyer ready to receive it.

I will be doing some minor tweaking to the website as I get the chance but it won't be anything major.

    Thanks everyone for your patronage!

    Greetings All!

Just wanted to post an update. I finally got around to shipping all my parcels that should have gone last week yesterday. I have been having some issues with an abscessed tooth and an uncooperative dentist that have kept me otherwise occupied. However if you have purchased anything from me or through Superlather know that your parcel went out yesterday. I apologise for the delay as that is certainly atypical but it was unavoidable.

    GOOD NEWS:
I am waiting to hear back from one of my suppliers who may be able to get the Alt Innsbruck for me at an earlier date than my regular supplier. If I don't hear from him I will be calling him Friday morning. As I said, he is not my regular Alt supplier but he should be able to get it for me in greater quantities with less trouble and hopefully at a lower price. If he gets it for me at a lower price I will be passing that savings on to you my wetshaving brethren. Never let it be said that Superlather doesn't love ya baby!

    MORE GOOD NEWS:
In keeping with passing on the savings I am hoping to negotiate better prices on the Austrian Pitralons. I plan on adding the Fresh Work and I'm hoping to drop the price of the 100ml bottles by a few dollars. If this works out, and I have no reason to think it won't, I will also start selling the Austrian decants at $2.00 instead of $3.00. I will know the answer to this by Friday. It will take a few weeks to get the Fresh Work in stock at my supplier and then about another week for it to get here.

    SOME NOT SO GOOD NEWS:
I have a new shipment coming through a different courier for new stocks of the Proraso 500ml tubes and tubs and some additional Italian Floids. Regrettably there will be a price increase associated with the Proraso products and the Italian Floids. Actually this is not the first in light of international economic factors but the others have been fairly small and I just absorbed them. The price increases will be small I promise but at this point I must pass them on. I will know the final prices Friday and an update will be posted to the website over the weekend.

Thanks again everyone for your patronage and your input!

    Thank ye David thank ye!

I do pop in here now and again but I'm afraid my expertise on the SER is well...rather limited hence my low post count. I do enjoy reading about the SERs and especially looking at the pictures though.
