Thread: Updates at Holli4's Straight Razor Page

Sorry for being so slow with updates to my site and new razors - I've been working (and working on finding a steady job) and I was also sick in bed for three days this week.

Here's what's new:

I've added a new area to by blog that shows razors that I am currently working on. These will be in various stages of cleaning and honing, but I thought I'd put them up to give everyone a sneak peak and what may go up for sale in the near future. I'm not totally sure how I will maintain/update this section, but for now I'm titling posts with just the post date and only including pictures. We'll see how it goes... Take a look here:

Also, if you've ever seen me selling a razor on the classifieds and then it disappears, check my razor's for sale section. If razors don't sell on the classifieds, I'm taking the ads down to put up newer offerings, but all razors I have for sale are always listed on my website. Take a look here:

I'm also planning on putting together a page showing my own razors, my other shaving gear (soaps/creams/brush/strop/scuttle), and adding pictures to my honing section. Suggestions for other pages are always welcome.

Glad you like it Al. I didn't really do much; I picked out a ready to go theme on Wordpress and came up with how I wanted to organize it.

Also, I've added 7 new razors in the "upcoming" section. They can be seen here:

I also decided that I would keep the "upcoming" section up to date by adding comments into the posts. For example, a Shumate that was "upcoming" sold straight away, and I mentioned that in the same post. You can see an example here:

I've not added in other content that I've mentioned yet, but I will when I have a chance. I also don't have any regular updates schedule yet, since it depends on what razors I have and how much time I have to work on them, so be sure to check back often.

Glad you like the site, Jim. That frameback is actually already sold pending payment. I guess doing the upcoming section was a good idea, because people are trying to buy from there too.
