    Default Kanayama Strop Update

    Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to give an update on Kanayama Cordovan Strops.

First off, I've updated the Linen strop pricing to reflect some changes in demand--the lien strops are now sold WITH the metal clasp and hook, simply because everyone seemed to want it that way anyway. If you DON'T, you can email me and we'll work it out. Also, EMS shipping is now included because it's just so much faster, and not all that much more expensive, than airmail.

Second, I've just made some purely cosmetic changes to the site layout and updated the history of the company a little bit.

Finally, I've added care instructions to the details page.

Also, just to let you know, my wife and I will be out of town this week so any orders placed this week will not be processed until next Monday (April 26). We apologize for any inconvenience.

Again, I'd like to offer my thanks to our customers, and to those who have considered our strops, and we hope to continue to offer a product you can be proud to use.

    Best Regards,
Jim and Tomomi Rion (and, of course, Yoshimasa Naomi-san)

Thanks for the update. Just one note: I got mine with a dent it got during shipping. I ironed the dent out which left the strop leather dry. I applied neatsfoot oil which did not alter the leather in any noticeable way.

I love my 60000 and it finishes everything that precedes it. Normal M.O. is
felt or webbing, latigo or bridle, and 30 or so extra light passes on the Kanayama....it is a real pleasure to have and use.

    Thanks for your comments Gentlemen.

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble, Kees. If you have any other problems, please do let me know.

In another update, apparently Naomi-san will be taking Golden Week (a long Japanese holiday week) off, so there will be no shipping happening THIS week, either.

Again, I'm very sorry about the inconvenience.

    Best Regards,
    Jim

No other problems, I bought one directly in Japan through a member here. The package got dented in transit.
