    Default Colleen's Soap

Today, I received a package of various samples from Colleen. One of which I really liked is the Black Cavendish shave soap. I found it to be of excellent quality, and a smell out of this world! It has a nice manly scent that is not overwhelming, and does not dissipate quickly.

In addition, I tried her shaving cream 3A on a couple of areas that I find hard to get. It made all the difference.

Colleen, Please let me know when you are ready to sell your products, I want to buy some more!!!

    Simply Amazing and Thanks,
    Mark.

    Well Good Morning Fellas,
I'm quite happy to see that I've rated a new thread..lol.. I haven't received any notices in my email box and was getting a little worried...so here I am checking things out this a.m.

Coully...I sent you another pm this morning that didn't go thru. It only seems to happen early in the morning hours, which makes no sense to me...I'll try to resend it later today.

I have two different email addresses, the first of which is not listed in my profile because it was not established at the time.

    thegentlemensquarter@hotmail.com

    dweyncolleen@hotmail.com

Please feel free to write me at either address. "The Gentlemen's Quarter" address is also my PayPal address for future reference.

I work on my soaps or some aspect of my soaping business seven days a week, and I work Tue-Wed-Thur at another job....so those three days I put in 14 hrs...not to mention I have to fix dinner! So some emails go unanswered during that time. I am always around Fridays thru Monday posting messages and answering emails.

Mark I am very pleased with your comments about the "Cavendish Black" it is a Blend of my own making. As for the shaving part...could you tell me if it was "slick" enough? Did the lather hold Ok. ? Did the soap feel drying in any way ? I added shea butter to the base...but I'm not sure if I need to add more? ...less ? to much will dampen the lather...not enough makes a soap that is less emollient.

And now for the Shaving Cream....Mark I am thrilled beyond belief that you have positive things to say about the Shaving Cream...I have had one person to write, saying they felt a tingling with the cream, not bad...but there nonetheless.

Any of you who received the shaving cream...thats obviously something to pay attention to. It is VERY IMPORTANT to note anything you feel like a tingling or burning sensation, and to let me know. Post it here or write me PM. While I LOVE hearing good and positive things about my products, I also learn by my mistakes...and I am unable to do this without you Wonderful Gentlemen who are kind enough to lend those Handsome faces to test these things for me!!

The only way I have to learn is from YOU. Don't be shy about constructive criticism, and I'll take all the Positive comments you can throw my way.

Other things I need to know about the shaving cream:

Does it feel "moisturizing" enough ? How was the "slick" ? Could it use a little more..maybe ? How did your skin feel after shaving...any dry or tight feeling?
I know it would be hard for the cream to separate in those little baggies...but, Do you see anything that looks like the cream is trying to separate ? Do you like the texture of the cream ? or would you like it to be more like a salve...? lol...or do you even care..as long as it shaves well ?

Gentlemen...Any and All comments greatly appreciated
    XXWarm Regards, Colleen

    Smile Black Cavendish

Ah the aroma. I think I will go and get my pipe and brush the cobwebs off it and light up and relax.

Ok...Coully I tried to resend your PM, and Mark tried to send you a PM too, no going....

Coully, I had a question about your job, and Mark; Thank You.

It looks as though I will be making another batch of "Cavendish Black"

The arrangement that has worked well for me and the fellas over at Shave My Face, is I send them samples and they PayPal me somewhere between $3 and $5 dollars to help with the cost of shipping.

It appears that I am getting much closer to having a product to "sell"...the elusive shave worthy soap....LOL...I am making progress! That said...Samples are...Test Samples, your opinions and suggestions are what I have to guide me.

I might add that I'm married...and you'd think my sweet Husband would be testing these things...but nooooo, He has a full beard...that he doesn't even trim. Once a month we head out on the back porch to spiffy up that beard and a good shave under the neck.

So you see Gentlemen...I truly cannot do this without your kind assistance.

If you'd like to be included in the next round of samples that go out, Please send me your address via thegentlemensquarter@hotmail.com and do keep in mind that any "mail fund" donations are greatly appreciated.

    XXWarm Regards, Colleen

I am definately looking forward to the new batch. It's a part of my personality to keep trying new products until I find something that works really well and then stick with it. Based on the overall reactions, it looks like I won't be disappointed.
