Smile "The Patriot" at Gemstar Customs for the 4th

The vision for this razor started back in April when I found the razor and the new acrylic...
It was hard not to make it earlier but thankfully I have had plenty on the bench to keep me busy...

The 5/8 size actual square point razor is near flawless I can't find any blems...
The Acrylic is a sparkling Red, White, and Blue held together with SS washers and NiAg pins a Red wedge to match the theme...

    HAPPY 4th of July !!!!

Some things you should know about this one that you can probably figure out if you look close.. Note the Little Valley NY markings and the #2102 stamped in the backside of the tail...These should look familiar to some of you...

Here is a bit of the company info, that should will put it all together for you...

GEORGE W. KORN RAZOR MANUFACTURING CO.
    Little Valley, New York
This factory made razors for many firms, including Case, Cattaraugus, Kinfolks, and Sears & Roebuck
    ca. 1900 - 1925

My understanding is that George Korn was actually the master grinder for the Case brothers then moved into his own company during one of their many re-structures...

This razor has no hone wear that I can see, although she is sharp I have not tried a shave...

I will send along the factory scales as the were engraved for the original owner so a touch more history...

If that is Inlace acrylic I've been eying that for about a month now at a local place, but keep passing it over for something else. I might have to rethink that decision.
    As always, great job

That's a nice-looking razor Glen. Unusual, thematic scales too, appropriate for July 4th. Congrats.

Great color theme G ~~ Happy 4th to you ! We're still shackled to Mother England for now
Didn't know Korn made for Cattaraugus but the tail stamps certainly reminded me of my favourite green scaled razor
