Thread: King Custom Made Shaving Brushes and DEs

As I new Vendor member I want to introduce myself in few words.
I am 35 years old and live in Croatia. I started to use DE many years ago (probbably more than 10) and 6 years ago I strated with straight razor shaving. Very quickly that become my hobby so I invest lot of my time in learning things that are connected with straight razor shaving (honing, restoring etc...). Few years ago I decided to start making shaving brushes and DEs. In the beggining it was very hard and I rejected many of my finished products. Main reasons for rejecting was unapropriate shape, bad wood blanks etc..etc. When things become better most of my products I give to my friends as a present. So, now I am here and I am glad that I can offer my products to this community.

Also, I want to say few words about my brushes and DEs:

1.The razors are supplied with TGN Parker (closed comb) heads. None of the razors have been used, they are just the way they were set. Every razor handle is made from high grade wood blank, high gloss polished and protected aginst water impacts.

Despite it's not recommend to soak brush handle in water. If you follow this simple rule your brush will serve you many years to come.
The brushes are supplied with TGN badger and boar knots.

Silvertip
Super Silvertip - Top of the line, soft creamy white natural tips well packed
Silvertip Grade A- Soft creamy white natural tips, well packed
Silvertip- Standard grade, not as soft as the above knots, greyish silver tips very well packed, excellent backbone

Super Badger
Super badger is treated silvertip. This makes the tips whiter and softer. Very high quality knot, soft tips well packed

Best Badger
Flexible and soft bristles with a bit of stiffness; great for massaging and exfoliation. Blend of dark and light badger hair to create a gray look

Finest Badger
Creamy white tips that fade to black, sometimes refered to as two band. Fairly soft tips well packed good with soaps and creams

Pure Badger
Coarse dark hair with firm bristles, good for scrubbing and exfoliating

I am small, not mass, producer. Every brush and DE pass through my hands from beggining to the end (final quality control). I will not offer for sale product that I will not buy for myself. In the moment all products are sold out but some new will be finish in next couple of days.

Those brushes are very nice. The Gabon Ebony would look great with a Black Badger knot.

Aestheticaly yes, but black badger is little bit prickly for most users who preffer softer knots. But in future I will add black badger also so everyone will have chance to choose.

George Wostenholm & Son 5/8 extra full hollow "singing", Sheffield steel, excellent condition (no nicks, no pitting, no rust), grip serrations on both sides of the tang, shave ready, freshly honed on Coticule, stroped on Kanayama #80000 strop, no box. Price 80 USD with included worldwide shipping.

Straight razor additon:

Griffon "Carbo Magnetic" full hollow, excellent condition (just few minor greyish spots which are visible on the photos but nothing that will affect performances), grip serrations on low side of the tang, shave ready, freshly honed on Coticule, stroped on Kanayama #80000 strop and protected with Camelia oil. There is no original box but I will include another one in very good condition. Price $ 75 USD with included worldwide registered shipping with tracking number.
Note: there is one minor "crack" inside one scale but it is barely visible so please ask for additional photos if needed.











Solingen made by Friedr Herder 9/16 full hollow straight razor with cream celluloid scales and black spacer. The razor is in excellent condition with just few little (almost invisible) greyish spots. Engraved on the tang are the words “139 Friedr. Herder. ABR Sohn Solingen Germany”
& trade marks A Spade & Crossed Keys”. On the reverse is the trade mark Crossed Keys. The hone wear is almost invisible. The razor is freshly honed on Coticule and stropped on Kanayama #80000 strop. No box.
