The big news I mentioned earlier can finally be revealed.
The maker of Kanayama strops, Naomi Yoshimasa-san, has released a brand new version of the 4 basic models of his strops: The Signature Series.
These strops are 6mm wider than the original strops, bringing them to 7.2cm or 2.8 inches.
Instead of the regular linen, the second strop is velvety horsehide--a compromise between the very coarse linen Kanayama usually uses, and the ultra-fine cordovan of the strops themselves.
And each strop bears the maker's name stamped permanently at the top: the Signature of Naomi Yoshimasa san himself.
These strops are available now, only 1000 JPY more than the original Kanayama strops.
Thank you for your attention!
Comparing the width.
The maker's name itself.
