    Default FYI, Imitaion Razors

Well I guess I have arrived, I was looking at a razor site and found an imitation of my work. They say "imitation is the sincerest (form) of flattery" but in this case it is just kind of sad, I do not really feel flattered.

I just want to put an FYI out there that these razor shaped objects have nothing to do with me. I am still selling my work exclusively through Straight Razor Designs.

It's sort of funny. I mean, in a sick sort of way, congratulations.

    How are they marking them?
Have you talked to them about it?

What bothers me is, they named their "Japanese designed" razor after my wife.

I just noticed on their web page that they offer full blade restoration for any blade in any condition.

"Any blade any condition $79.99 full professional blade restoration.
We will Clean, Strip, Grind, Buff, Polish, Set the Bevel, Hand Hone and Strop your vintage blade from start to finish for $79.99.
We have finished thousands of blades and have years of combined professional experience with straight razor restoration and care.
Why pay more for less? Trust your blade to a VSRR (Vintage Straight Razor Restoration) expert."

Feels like a load of crap considering what they are passing of as razors. Fun reading though.

Thank you guys for your support, it is greatly appreciated.

I do not want to tie up the vendors forum with my business, so I am going to let this thread die unless there are direct questions.

The razors are being sold under the GB Buckingham & Sons name.

No, I have not talked with them. I think it would be a fruitless exercise in frustration.

I am sorry about the name.

I am sure when the said "Japanese designed" they meant design by a "Texas curmudgeon"
