    Dang!

Since you have you quarter handy I would use that as a template and reshape the toe. Keep it cool while grinding!

Wow--that's really too bad. I've seen some razors with the toe cut out, so it's probably not all lost. The other (probably less attractive option) is to shorten the blade.

Yep, you're going to have to round that toe. Fortunately you didn't crack the blade or chip it further back. Be careful or you risk chipping it more.

I really like that scalloped spine. Who is it made by? I can't make out the name.

Ralph Aust is the maker. Why do these things have to happen to your favorite piece? It always seems to work that way, at least for me. I guess I will try my hand at a repair just undecided what it will look like.

What is the best way to accomplish a reshape/grind? Start with a rotary grinder? Grit?

Made me swear and almost shed a tear! On the bright side, I need to make a purchase! If anyone has one similar that they are considering parting with, PLEASE let me know.

    Bad luck .

It's half way to a round point. Just complete the job.
Be very careful with a rotary tool as any contact width ways will result in chunks of razor being torn out on the thinner sections.
You can attack the spine with a full speed grinder but keep it cool & be very careful with the rest of the blade. A diamond plate will be your best friend for the finishing stages.
