    Whoops! My fault, I meant whenever he says 1/16" as the size it refers to a brass ROD (solid). The only brass TUBE that he says to use is 3/32" as a bushing. Sorry again. I think Bill clarified this himself somewhere.

    Hey Sshack.

    I live in an apartment too and don't have a shop. Instead of an anvil I used a coaster made out of granite. I've had it since college and I really don't care if I chip or scratch it. It worked great. I've done a bunch of pins oin it and never damages it. In fact it will help remind you to "tap gently." :-)
