Not a piece of junk for sure.
Southern Tier New York was a powerhouse of razor manufacture.
Union Cutlery, Burrell, Case, JBF Champlin, Kinfolks, Cattaraugus, ... and many more,
were all produced in the Olean, Ellicotville, Little Valley and Bradford area.
I'd say it's a Union razor.
Very good razor.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to have to be very careful with it then...unfortunately, after sanding away with 80 grit for about 5 hours total, there is still some deep pitting. Gonna go ahead and leave it and move up my sanding progression, wasn't sure how much metal could be removed before the itnergrity of the blade would be compromised. Any thoughts about the amoutn of metal one can take from a hollow ground would be very appreciated!
