Caswll Compounds
I just got my spiral swen wheel and four compounds from caswell. I want to be sure i am applying them correctly. YOu just push the compound onto the moving wheel correct???

In your dirt, stirring it up
Post it in the workshop. Probably better!

I think there are some things in the library as well as previous posts on this. Some videos as well. Big subject! Good Luck!

Yep. Couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Push just firm enough to put a light coating on the wheel. Anymore and the excess will just spin off onto your wall/workbench/ceiling.
2. Be sure to let the compound dry thoroughly on the wheel before you use it.
3. Keep your compounds covered, in a cool place. If they dry out, they're useless.
Good luck and have fun!

What??? Okay. YEAH!
Moved to Workshop.
If they are just polishing compounds you can use them right away. If greaseless abrasives then yes, a drying period is needed.

I now use to apply compound with the buffer turned off and i manually spin the wheel while pressing the compound against it , i found it works well and makes no splashing , anyone tried it?
Also I found that it is better to cut away the tip of a new compound bar as it is kind of dry
