I purchased this shaving brush from Larry at Whipped Dog Straight Razors many years ago. He is the one who set the knot into the handle. I used it off and on, for several years. After every use, I washed the soap out of it, squeezed the knot from the sides to push water out, gave it some flicks to further dry it, then let is sit upright in open air to finish drying.
If memory serves, Larry said the handle is made of resin, although I don't know what type of resin, and the knot is badger hair.
It's been an excellent brush, but I've given up shaving in favor of electric beard trimming.
The diameter of the knot where it inserts into the handle is approximately 22mm
The loft of the knot (distance from handle to top of knot) is approximately 55mm
The overall height is about 102mm
