Irritation on the neck when I go ATG on the third pass

No matter how hard I try, I always get irritation on the third pass on the neck when I go against the grain. I use a Wilkinson Sword Classic, a 24mm knot Maggard synthetic shaving brush, a cream(Palmolive, D'amaris, Denim) and a D'amaris aftershave. Anyone else who has irritation after the ATG pass? Could use some advice.

Is there a Doctor in the house ?
The usual advice is to use very little pressure, and if that doesn't work, a very mild and unaggressive razor. But the fact is that not everyone's skin can tolerate a third pass, and some of us have to settle for two. The problem isn't always bad tecnique or overly-close shaves; with each pass you scrape off a layer of the outer skin (stratum corneum) and people with paler complexions and blonde hair are especially prone to their skin getting sensitive and sore with more of that than they like. Guys with olive skin and swarthy black beards can often shave all day and feel fine. It's certainly the case that even a single pass shave with a proper razor will look fine through the work day, even if it feels a bit rough as the day goes on. I'm guessing that HR departments these days rather frown on inviting people to check out the smoothness of your shave at work, so that probably won't matter.
Of course, being SRP, I have to say straight razors are less irritating than DE shaves. The funny thing is, I've found it to be true!

Today I made only 2 passes: One WTG except the neck(where I have irritation) where I went XTG and the second pass ATG everywhere. Better results with no irritation.

Years ago, when I started wet shaving with an Edwin Jagger DE89 I got slight irritation on neck ATG. Using a generic body cream like Nivea (no alcohol) helped soothing a lot until the next shave.

It may sound strange but when I upgraded to more aggressive razors (Merkur Futur set at 5-6, Muhle R41, Fatip Picolo), the irritation went away... Blades were always Feather (or Astra sometimes).

I guess the fact that I exercised very light pressure with the aggressive razors helped a lot to get rid of irritation.

What I can confirm however from my little SR experience is that straight razors are super smooth for shaving ATG, thus no irritations
