Rib Eyes, lamb chops & an assortment of italian salads.
[sounds good . one of these day I've got to try lamb chops or lamb of any cut. When I was young it was mostly pork or chicken and wild game. Not many sheep in my area .

This is a roasted banana ice cream. I don’t know if anyone has made ice cream. It’s easy to make. But refine a recipe is not. I gave this a try to see what it did. It’s very tasty. But I’ll want to refine this a lot. The flavor is there but the texture is not. The texture is ok. But it’s not perfect. I wasn’t expecting greatness. The recipe was all over the place. Metric measurements, imperial measurements, and some really vague “measurements”. It’s a good place to start from. The flavor is great - bananas, caramel, vanilla, and a bit of salt holding it all together. 8FEA4C50-16D1-4043-8FA8-F58F4ED1004D.jpeg

I grew up making ice cream the old fashioned way. Good stuff

If SPAM doesn't do anything for you, how about some PASTITSIO instead?

If you live in a community of Greeks, this is what they are talking about when they refer to "macaroni and cheese"!

Honey Fermented Garlic

  1. Take individual cloves of skinned garlic and either bruise them or make a slice partway through them with a sharp knife.
  2. Put the garlic into a wide mouth mason jar, filling it about 3/4 full.
  3. Cover the garlic with raw honey.
  4. Put a weight on the garlic cloves to totally submerge them.
  5. Put a fermentation lid on the jar that will allow gas created by the fermentation process to escape the jar.
  6. Let the garlic ferment, out of direct light, for at least 1 month.
Wide mouth jars, fermentation lids, and fermentation weights are all available on Amazon.
